Gordon L. Gooding, 38, of New Market, a former Kingman resident, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday May 28 1979, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been ill a short time. He had been employed for 17 years as assistant quality control manager at Impex in Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Friends Union Church at Marshall and the Eagles Lodge of Crawfordsville. He was a 1959 graduate of Turkey Run High School. Born March 6 1941 at Decatur,Ill., he was the son of Robert and Madge Littrell Gooding. On Dec 3 1972, he married Sherry Hunt who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Brooke and Stacey, both at home; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Drollinger of Kingman; two brothers, Robert Gooding Jr. of Crawfordsville and George Allen of Ladoga; two stepsisters, Mrs. Esther Downing of Oakwood, Ill., and Mrs. Helen Rahn of Kingman and a stepbrother, Norman Drollinger of Veedersburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodland Heights Christian Church at Crawfordsville with the Rev. Jack Austin officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at Hunt & Sons Funeral Home in Crawfordsville.
