ESTHER L. GOODING April 2, 1922-Jan. 8, 2007
Esther L. Gooding, 84, Crawfordsville,
died 1:15 a.m. Monday in St. Clare Medical Center Emergency Room.
Mrs. Gooding formerly worked at
Woolworths Store and then formerly co-own ed the Gooding Fruit Stand in
Crawfordsville with her husband.
She was a member of Phanuel Lutheran
Church, Wallace, and the Ladies Aid of Phanuel Lutheran Church. She was a 1940
graduate of Wallace High School.
She was born April 2, 1922 at Jackson
Township in Fountain County to Byron M. and Elsie (Watson) Allen. On May 25,
1947, she married George Earl Gooding. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David
(Roberta) Gooding, Elkhart; and Dennis (Beth) Gooding, Crawfordsville; and six
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents
and a brother, Herman Allen.
Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m.
Thursday at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown with burial in Lutheran Cemetery,
Wallace. Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
