Ephie GOODING, 81, a retired farmer died Sunday at the Warren Methodist home in Warren. He had been in failing health for several months. He was born May 4, 1872, the son of Allen and Amanda MYERS Gooding. He married Dessie LIVENGOOD June 20, 1894. There survive the widow; four grandchidren, Mrs. Warren Stewart of Crawfordsville; Robert McClure of Waveland; Dale McClure of Hillsboro and marjorie McClure of Crawfordsvlle; two brothers, Lonnie Gooding waynetown and Charles Gooding, Shelbyville; a sister, rms. Eula Gainer, Wallace and a half sister, Mrs. Lear summers, wallace. he was preceded in death by a daughter, Waneta McClure. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Reeves Funeral Home, New Market, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Gooding was well known in Waveland.

May 4, 1872 in Jackson Twp, s/o All an and Amanda Myers Gooding. He married Dessie Livengood who survives. Surviving in addition to the wife are 4 grandchildren: Dale McClure of Hillsboro; Robert McClure of Russellville and Margaret and Marjorie of C'ville; two sisters, Mrs. Zula Gaine s and Mrs. Lear Summers of near Wallace and two brothers, Charles of Shelbyville and Lonnie of Waynetown. A daughter Juanita preceded him in death. Funeral services were Tues afternoon with burial in Oak Hill Cem, Crawfordsville.

Buria will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. The Rev RC Plank of the Warren Methodist Home will officiate. The body will be brought tot he Reeves Funeral Home Monday afternoon following services at the Warren Methodist Home earlier in the day. – kbz
