Veedersburg Dec 25 – Following a serious illness of several months John T. Goodson, 64 died at 10 p.m. Friday at his home here. He had been a resident of this city since 1907 and was employed by Veedersburg Brick Company until his health failed. He was born Nov 28, 1876 in Crawford Co Ind, a son of Norris and Catherine Thomas Goodson. His marriage to Miss LaVada Cox occurred Feb 25, 1898.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. LaVada Goodson; five daughters: Mrs. Opal Cleveland and Mrs. Thelma Scott, both of Attica; Mrs. LaVon vyse of San Bernardo, Calif; Miss Betty Goodson of Indianapolis and Miss Alma Goodson at home; and one son, albert Goodson of Covington. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the HC Fishero Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Howard pastor of Sterling Christian Church, officiating. Burial was in Veedersburg cemetery.
