Romney - William G. Goings, 86 of Romney died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday May 10, 2001 in his residence. He was born Sept 12, 1914 in Veedersburg and attended Danville, Ill HS. He was a farmer. On June 8, 1935, he married Mary M. Forrest in Danville and she survives. Mr. Goings was a member of Veedersburg First Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Forrest "Sonny" W. Goings of New Richmond and Jerry D. Goings of Veedersburg; four daughters, Alta Mae Wilson (husband, Pat0 of Mount Pleasant Mich; Billie Joan House of Attica; Mary L. Hultz (husband, Larry) of Veedersburg and Myra L. Goings of New Richmond and a brother, Dean Goings of Daytona Beach, Fla.

Surviving are 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Preceded by his parents and a brother. William A. Goings (sic - G) 86, Romney died 7:30 a.m. Thursday in his residence. Mr. Goings was a farmer. He attended Danville Ill HS and was a member of Veedersburg First Christian Church. He was born Sept 12, 1914 at Danville, Ill, to Iden and Goldie Keys Goings. He married Mary M. Forrest on June 8, 1935 at Danville. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, FOrrest "Sonny" W. Goings, New Richmond and Jerry D. Goings, Veedersburg; four daughters, Alta Mae Wilson, Mount Pleasant, Mich; Billie Joan House, Attica; Mary L. Hultz, Veedersburg and Myra L. Goings, New Richmond; one brother, Dean Goings, Daytona Beach, Fla; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Monday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. Al White presiding. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
