Elmdale - Mrs. Ethel Goff, 89, of Elmdale, died at 7:45 a.m. today in her home after a long illness. She had lived in that community since a child, and was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church, charter member of Elmdale Home Demonstration Club, was a member of the Elmdale Woman's Society, had been active in the Democratic Party on the county level and had been precinct committee woman for several years. She attended Elmdale schools and was graduated from Wingate HS in 1911. She was born 16 Feb 1902 in Fountain County, a daughter of David and Rachel Ann Swank Grenard. She married Homer C. Goff of Elmdale 15 Feb 1916. He died Tuesday, Nov 10. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Kathryn) Coffing of Covington and Mrs. Rosalind Clark of Elmdale; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Emerson and Lloyd Grenard and sister, Mrs. Eva Irvin. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown.

Mrs. Ethel Goff of Elmdale, age 89, died Wednesday, November 18, at her home. She was born in Fountain County, February 16, 1892, the daughter of David and Rachel Ann Swank Grenard. February 15, 1916, she married Homer C. Goff, who died November 10 of this year.
Mrs. Goff was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church, Elmdale Woman’s Society and a charter member of Elmdale Home Demonstration Club. She was a 1911 graduate of Wingate High School. Active in Democratic Party politics, she was a precinct committeewoman for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Coffing of RR 3, Covington, and Mrs. Rosalind Clark of Elmdale; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Douglas McCord and Rev. James Hatfield officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery north of Elmdale.-s-
