Robert Lee Glover, 56, distributor for the Shell Oil Co., died of a heart attack at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at his home, 308 E. Columbia St. His death was unexpected. Born at Veedersburg, he graduated from high school there and attended Indiana university for 2 1/2 years. He worked for the Central National Bank in Attica; later operated a delicatessen and most recently was in the oil distribution business with his son, Sidney. Mr. Glover was a member of the First Methodist church; Kappa Sigma Fraternity, was a member of the Attica School Board from 1947 to 1954, and was a past master of Wabash Lodge 708 F&AM. In 1933 he was married to Elizabeth Thompson, who survives, along with their son, Sidney, who lives at Williamsport. Other survivors are a brother, Richard of Warsaw and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Gross of Veedersburg. Friends may call at DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica after 6 p.m. Monday. Masonic services there at 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services at funeral home 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Louis Haskell officiating. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Attica

ATTICA -- Robert Lee Glover, age 56, of 308 Columbia, Attica, died unexpectedly at home Saturday, Nov. 20. He was born in Veedersburg, Oct. 23, 1909, the son of Berle and Sadie Quiggle Glover. He was graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1928 and attended Indiana University for two an a half years where he was a member of Kappa Sigma, social fraternity. On June 28, 1933, he was married to Elizabeth Thompson. He was a charter member of the Veedersburg Lions Club, member of the Merchants Association and served two terms on the school board. During one term, he was president of the board. Mr. Glover also was a past master, of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Methodist Church. Since 1952, he had operated the Shell Oil Co. bulk plant with his son, Sidney. He formerly was manager of the Kroger Store and was employed at the Central National Bank and Trust Co. and operated a delicatessen store. He is survived by: his wife; one son; one brother, Richard of Warsaw; and one sister, Mrs. Kenneth Gross of Veedersburg. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home where Masonic services were held at 8 p. m. Monday. The Rev. Louis Haskell officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
