Veedersburg, May 21 – Elmer Glover, 79, retired Veedersburg merchant died Sunday night at the home of his son, Fred Glover in Indianapolis.  Mr. Glover had lived with his son since retiring from business.  He was born on a farm near here on Feb 3, 1856, the son of William and Mary Coffing Glover.  He was married twice; first to Mattie Smith and after her death to Emma Quiggle who is also deceased.  Mr. Glover operated a farm near when a young man and owned a general store here for about 15 years immediately before retiring. Survivors in addition to the son are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Crane of Covington and Mrs. Albert McElwee of this place; three brothers, James, Earl and George all of Veedersburg; and a grandson, Lt. Fred Crane, serving overseas with the Army.  The body will be returned to the Parham Funeral Home here where funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be in the family lot at Osborn Prairie Cemetery. - kbz
