GLAZE, Peter - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Grange Corner -- Peter "Pete" Glaze, 84 died Sunday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Leona Crowder SE of Grange Corner. He had been in failing health several months. Born 10 May 1876 in Parke County, he was the son of John and Abbie Jessup Glaze. He was twice married, his first in 1897 was to Mary Sowers, who died in 1927. His second marriage was to Minnie Keller, who also preceded him in death. Survivors include the daughter at whose home he died, Mrs. Flossie Floyd and Mrs. Laura Drake, Route 1 Bloomingdale; and Mrs. Mary Hopper of near Waynetown; two sons, Elsworth Glaze of near Bloomingdale and John R. Glaze of near Crawfordsville; a brother, Bill Glaze of near Kingman 16 grandchildren and 25 greats. He was preceded in death by 3 bros and 4 sisters. Fun services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wolf Creek Church near Wallace with Rev. John R Servies in charge. Burial in Wolf Creek Cemetery. -- kbz
