Mrs. Viola Glascock Dies at Covington. Mrs. Viola Glascock, aged 70, mother of Miss Verna Glascock, principal of the Covington High School, died at four o'clock Monday morning at her home in this city. Death followed an illness of several years and is believed to have resulted from paralysis. Mrs. Glascock was born March 31, 1856, at Scott's Prairie in the southern part of Fountain county, and was the daughter of Dr. Jehu Adkins, a pioneer physician. She was united in marriage on November 25 1873, to Thomas A. Glascock, a prominent stock dealer, who died several years ago. Miss Verna Glascock is the only surviving child. Mrs. Glascock is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, George Adkins and Wallace Adkins, both residing near Steam corner; Mrs. Cerelda Frazier of Hillsboro; Mrs. George W. Kerr of Covington and Mrs. AmandaThomas of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Glascock had made her home in Covington for 35 years and was an active member of the Christian church up to the time she became an invalid several years ago. Funeral services were held at four o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home, with Rev. O. W. McGaughey of Veedersburg officiating. Interment was made in Mount Hope cemetery, Covington.
