We face again the same "old", old fashion, the fashion that knows no change the fashion of death" out of the earthly environed life into the life beyond. The Great Reaper has thrust his sickle into our ranks and Thomas Glascock, Jr. has fallen. On Nov 15, 1852 he was born near Maysville in Mason County, Kentucky. His parents were Downing and Mary Glascock. He died in his home in this town Tuesday evening March 23, 1920. He had lived 67 years 4 months and 8 days. When just a boy he left his birth place in Kentucky and came to Indiana and resided on Scotts Prairie. On March 31, 1881 he was joined in marriage with Olive Belle Booe, daughter of Jefferson and Mary Booe. A son and daughter, Jeff and Anna blessed this union. Being busily engaged int he grain businesss about 1908 he left the farm and has resided in Kingman a number of years. Soon after coming to Indiana he placed his membership in the old Scotts Prairie CHurch and remained steadfast in the faith until his death. Membership was also taken in the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star, and in the teachings of these orders he took a delight. His family relationship was always happy. He seemed to love to talk about his family and delighted in their companionship. His capital in every life was energy and perseverance and from it he built up a competence for his family. He leaves his faithful wife, Olive, his son, Jeff and daughter-in-law, Mabe and two children, his daughter, Anna and her husband, John V. Lowe to ever hold sacred his memory. Also of his father's family he leaves one brother and 3 sisters. In the community in which he carried on business so long he will be greatly missed by a large number of friends. His memory will long be cherished by them as an honest and upright man.
