Sarah A, daughter of John and Jane Booe, was born in Scotts Prairie Ind Oct 1, 1840 and departed this life in Kingman May 10, 1914 being 79 years 7 months ? . On the 16th of December 1859 she was married to Thomas Glascock and to this union were born six children, four of whom Mrs. Kate Furr, Harrison H, Mrs. Viola Baker and Mrs. Edna Rowlett survive her, Eleanor Adeline and Nancy Jane dying in early childhood. From the marriage altar the young bride went with her husband to what is now the John Glascock farm West of Hillsboro and began their wedded life. They lived here for 12 years and they moved to the farm on Scotts Prairie, which Mr. Glascock now owns in December 1905 they moved to a new home in Kingman where Mrs. Glascock passed away. Aunt Sarah as we all affectionately called her was a fine type of Christian woman. At the early age of 16 she became a follower of Christ was immersed by Elder Elisha Scott, a pioneer preacher of the Restoration and became a member of the Scots Prairie Christian Church. When they moved to Kingman she and her husband became members of the Church here. She was ever true to her vows to Christ and died trusting him. To say that she was a model wife and mother is not to express a dry plalitude but to voice a statement full of truth and significance. She measured up to the scriptural standard of wifely devotion and motherly sacrifice. "Her children arise up and call her blessed; and her husband be also praiseth her." As a neighbor she was valued highly by those who came within the range of her gentle influence and many trembling lips bear glad testimonies to her loving and thoughtful ministrations. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Savanah Ludlow of Oakland, California; a brother jR Booe of Cayuga, 3 grandchildren, Katie Glascock; Charles and Elizabeth Coats. Funeral services were held from the Christian church here at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning Rev OE Kelly of Terre Haute former pastor and an intimate friend of the deceased's family officiating. Burial was made in Rockfield cemetery SE of Veedersburg. - kbz
