Veedersburg - Samuel J. Glascock, 73, a prominent Fountain County farmer, died at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, Ill, at 6 p.m. Friday. He had just returned to his home from there when he had to be rushed back to the hospital after becoming ill suddenly. He was born Nov 22, 1890, to Henry and Francis Cade Glascock. He was married to Martha Kate VanDeventer Dec.9, 1911. She survives along with one daughter, Mrs. Ovilla White of Indianapolis, two grand children; one brother, Troy of Kingman; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude McCord of Sikeston, Mo. He was a member of the Scott's Prairie church near here, the Fountain County Farm Bureau and the Fountain County Historical society. Friends may call at the Sever Funeral Home here after 7 p.m. Saturday. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Scott's Prairie Church. Rev. Gerald Babb will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
