Mary Elizabeth Glascock, 81, of 415 Union St (Covington) died yesterday April 2, 1962 at 2 p.m. in Lakeview Memorial Hospital. She had been a patient two days. She had been ill since Friday. Born Feb 19, 1881, in Parke County, she was the daughter of George M. and Sarah Woody Lindley. She was married 9-28-1904 to Troy C. Glascock, who survives. Mrs. Glascock had been a resident of MIll Creek Township for many years. They moved into Covington in 1942. She was a member of the Scotts Pariarie Christian Church, Ladies Aid and Wabash Valley Flower Club. She was a flower lover and active in other clubs. She attended the first meeting last Wednesday in Covington. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Maxine Ratcliff of Kingman Rt 1; a son, Hubert H. of Kingman Rt 1; a sister, Mrs Rose Moffett of Covington, six grandchildren and 7 greats. She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Rev. Ruth Isaacs of Marshall will officiate. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after noon Wednesday.
