GLASCOCK, Allen B.

After a short but fatal illness Allen B. Glascock succumbed to that deadly disease, commonly known as consumption at his home in Yeddo Ind about 3:30 o'clock Thursday morning. Mr. Glascock was about 51 and was the 5th child of Harrison and Rachel Glascock. The deceased was born on the old home place about 3 miles east of Veedersburg just beyond the John Glascock home on the Hillsboro highway. While yet a boy he removed with his parents to the Old Scotts Prairie neighborhood where he grew to manhood. Allen B. Glascock was first married to Jennie Stockdale, a sister of George Stockdale and to this union two children Cecil and Alma survive and reside in Jackson Twp. This union was terminated by the death of Mrs. Glascock about 20 years ago. Mr. Glascock's second marriage was to Etta Hutts and to this union 3 children were born: Harry, Lee and Dorothea all of whom and the widow survive. Other members of the immediate familya re two brothesr, Daniel Glascock of Exter, California and Alva Glascock of Veedersburg, also two sisters, Mrs. Austin Cooper of Hillsboro and Mrs. Manford Ludlow of Hanford, Calif. The deceased became a member of the Scotts Prarie Christian Church when a young man and retained his membership until death. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge also Order of Red Men and to the Campe of Woodmen. Funeral services held from the late home in Yeddo Saturday a.m. at 10:30 with interment Rockfield Cemetery.
