Howard Chapel Community — Miss Florence Victoria Gilmore, age 81, a native and almost life-resident of Highland Twp., Vermillion County, Ind., died at 9:40 a. m. Monday, May 6, at the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington where she had been a patient since Dec. 27, 1962. She had been in ill health for six months. Miss Gilmore was born Sept. 19, 1881 in Highland Twp., Vermillion County, the daughter of Emory H. and Nancy A. Hughes Gilmore. She had never married and she was the last of a family of six. She was a member of the First Church of Christ of Covington, Perrysville Chapter 302, Order of Eastern Star, and the Jessamine Club of Perrysville. She had served as secretary of the Eastern Star Chapter for more than 30 years. All of her life, with the exception of two or three years in Iowa, had been spent in Highland Twp. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Roger James, pastor of the First Church of Christ, Covington, will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.  --typed by Walt W
