Hillsboro Aug 1 - William Gilkey, a longtime resident of Fountain County died near Covington early Saturday morning following an illness of several years. Complications caused his death. Mr. Gilkey was born in 1856 on a farm southwest of Waynetown and was a son of John R. and Rhoda Gilkey. Early in life he was married to Emma Foxworthy who preceded him in death several years ago. Mr. Gilkey lived the greater part of his life in Hillsboro but also resided in both Lafayette and Indianapolis. During his life he was engaged in the restaurant business and also in the dray business. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Waynetown and also held membership in the Red Men. The deceased is survived by one adopated daughter, Mrs. Isa Howard, Ashland, NC, one sister, Mrs. Charles Armantrout of Lafayette and several half brothers. The body was to be brought to Hillsboro on Saturday afternoon to the home of his brother-in-law George Foxworthy. Funeral services will be held SUnday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Hillsboro Christian Church and will be in charge of Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg. Burial will take place in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown - kbz
