Mrs. Mary Agnes Gibison, 43, wife of Dea Gibison was found dead in bed Friday morning by her husand when he went into her room to awaken her. She and her younger daughter, Betty were sleeping together. Mrs. Gibison had been suffering from a heart ailment which it is thought caused her sudden death. Mrs. Gibison, the daughter of Henry and Nellie Karneay Grandstaff was born at Wingate July 3, 1909. She was married to Mr. Gibison in 1930 and they went to housekeeping near Silverwood. For the past 8 years they have resided in the vicinity of Hillsboro. Mrs. Gibison was a member of the Evngelical United Brethren in Veedersburg. Survivors include the husband; two daughters, Carolyn and Betth both at home; her father, Henry Grandstaff of Crawfordsville; 4 brothers, Noel Grandstaff also of Crawfordsville; Wayne Grandstaff, Wallace; Orville Grandstaff, Muncie and Dea Grandstaff, Waveland; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bentley, Mrs. Lydia May Atkinson and Mrs. Clara Dean Bowman all of Midway, Ohio; and Mildred Dobbets of Attica. An infant son preceded her in death. The Rev. Roy Kayayama, pastor of the Hillsboro Methodist Church conducted the funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Mrs. Carol Myer and Mrs. Maxine Bever sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. Pearl Hill. Pall bearers were Leslie Bell, John C. Linville, Cliston Sample, Don Zackmire, Lyle Kruger, John Fisher, Charles C. Cooper and Marion Glascock. Flower bearers were Sarah Lou Williams, Gail McCutchan, Betty Hayman, Alice June Melton, Twila Holycross, Leta Berry, Janet Livingston, Margaret Croft, Jane Stephenson, Virginia Eubanks,Janet Spivey, Martha and Mary Livingston. Burial in Cold Spring's Cemetery north of Veedersburg.
