Harold Gerard, age about 46, died suddenly this morning, Oct. 3, at his home at 1004 Eighth St. He was found lying in the bushes in the front yard by his wife, Mrs. Maxine Gerard, who left Norma's Shop, where she is employed, at 11 a. m. for her lunch hour. Harold had been putting in storm windows and his wife, who entered their home through the back door, went out front to look for him when he wasn't in the house. Thinking he had suffered another heart attack, Mrs. Gerard called the Covington Volunteer Fire Department's rescue squad. However, Harold was dead when they arrived. He was a native of Covington and was graduated from the Covington Community High School with the class of 1935. He is survived by his wife; a niece, Karen Kiser Gee, who was reared in his home; his mother, Mrs. Goldie Gerard Cox of Covington; one brother, Jack Gerard, and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Primmer, both a Covington. The body as at the Hegg Funeral Home where arrangements are incomplete. =--typed by Walt W
