Morocco—Charles A. Geller, 81, Route 2, Morocco, died at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 1989, in George Ade Memorial Care Facility in Brook.
He was born March 29, 1908 in Morocco, and had spent all his life there. He was married Oct. 13, 1929 in Kentland to Florence Geller, who survives.
He had been employed at the Newton County Highway Department for 15 years and was affiliated with the Newton County Sheriff’s Department for 50 years.
He was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Morocco, National Rifle Association, Sheriff’s Association and Sons of the American Legion.
Surviving besides his wife are four sons, Richard, Racine, Wis.; David, Peoria, Ariz.; Ernie, Morocco, and Michael, Veedersburg; four daughters, Ivy Bullington, Monon; Mrs. Levie (Rosale) Vaughn, Morocco; Linda Geller, Bradley, Ill., and Mrs. Gary (Carol) Russell, North Aurora, Ill.; three brothers, Edward and Jim, both of Morocco, and Robert, Earl Park; four sisters, Mildred Lamphier, Morocco; Dorothy Classen, Rockville; Virginia Dankoff, Portage, and Eleanor Barboza, Huntsville, Ala.; 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Cardwell Funeral Home Chapel, Morocco, with the Rev. Royal Voeller officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Morocco. - s
