GEORGETOWN, Ill. — Charles W. Gearheart, 45, Georgetown, Ill. and formerly of Morehead, Ky., died at 2:59 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002 in Provena U.S.M.C. Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. He was born June 1, 1957 in Mt. Sterling, Ky., the son of Harlan W. Gearheart and Mollie McIntosh Mitchell. He was a mechanic at Calvin Auto Parts in Kingman. He enjoyed fishing, mushrooming and hunting. He especially enjoyed helping his brother Calvin with his race cars. Survivors include: his mother of Georgetown, Ill., a brother, Calvin (Betty) Gearheart, Kingman; two sisters, Judy Gearheart, Westville, Ill. and Beatrice Gearheart, Georgetown, Ill.; four nieces; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday in DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga, with Pastor Gene Grubb officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery, Lodi. - jlr
