Marvin A. “Bud” Gayler of Covington, age 64, died Saturday morning, January 24, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. He was born in Fountain County, December 22, 1916, the son of Albert Earl and Pearl Auter Gayler. December 18, 1943, he married Loraine Haniford, who survives.   

  Gayler was a member of Union Christian Church and the Moose Lodge in Danville, Illinois. He was a graduate of Attica High School, had farmed for several years and had been employed since 1967 at Stone Bluff Grain Company.

  Also surviving are his mother of RR 1, Attica; four daughters, Mrs. Sandy Holland of Williamsport, Mrs. Linda Shuck of Covington, Mrs. Vicki Hollis of Veedersburg and Tammy Gayler at home; a son, Gary of Attica; a sister, Mrs. Clara Branigan of RR 1, Attica; and seven grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Wayne Hoover officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington. - thanks to "S"
