WEST LEBANON, Ind. - Herman C. Gaskill, 61, of West Lebanon, died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 16, 1978) at Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been ill five years. A graduate of Pine Village High, he had been a crane operator and section foreman for the Wabash and Norfolk and Western Railroad for 29 years. He was a member of the West Lebanon Nazarene Church and AF of L and CIO Brotherhood of Maintance-Way Employees Union. Born Nov. 25, 1916, in Rainsville, he was the son of Jasper C. and Hattie Balser Gaskill. A resident of Attica most of his life, he moved to West Lebanon in 1974. He married Jane Clawson in 1972 in Danville. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Hetrick of Willimsport Route 2 and Mrs. Sarah Freeman of Alton, Mo.; a son, Bud Gaskill of Williamsport; a step-daughter, Mrs. Carroll Brock of Marshall, Ill.; two brothers, Harold "Buck" Gaskill of Attica Route 4 and Joe Gaskill of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Strong of South Chicago and Mrs. Mary Zetta Heide of Milan, Tenn.; two aunts, Mrs. Lucille Palmer of State Line and Mrs. Minnie Crawford of West Lebanon; and an uncle, John Gaskill of Attica Route 2; 12 grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by a son, Jim, and a brother, Audry. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the West Lebanon Nazarene Church, with the Rev. Harold Cox officiating. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services. Burial will be in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Fisher Funeral Home in West Lebanon after 3 p.m. today. - jlr
