Leroy Lewis Garrigus of Indianapolis, age 71, died Tuesday morning, September 12, in the Americana North Nursing Home, Indianapolis. He was born in Veedersburg, September 11, 1907, the son of August H. and Carrie Lewis Garrigus. He was married at Lafayette, November 14, 1931, to Mary Alice Darnall, who died in 1975. Mr. Garrigus was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, Theta Chi fraternity of Purdue and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a past president of the Indiana Huguenot Society and had been employed as an electrical engineer with Indiana Bell Telephone Company. Survivors include three daughters, Alice J. Garrigus of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Janet Craig of Winter Park, Florida and Mrs. Rosemary Heins of Long Beach, California; a son, Lewis R. of Santa Maria, California; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Brennen of St. Petersburg, Florida; and seven grandchildren. Graveside rites and burial were in Rockfield Cemetery on Thursday with Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg in charge.  --typed by Walt W
