GARRIGUS, James C.

Yeddo – James Cyrce Garrigus, 81 died at 7 p.m. Sunday at his home here. Born April 24, 1864 in Sylvania, Ind, he was the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Jeptha Garrigus.  He was the to Ida McKinnon in 1884. One daughter Fern preceded him in death.  Surviving are the widow, and six children: George in the Navy in Main; Anna Fortune of Kenny, Ill; Charles of Cranston, Ill; Mildred Cumbow of Pepone, Ill; John in the Army in California and Robert in the Army in Belgium.  A brother, Charles Garrigus of Terre Haute also survives.  He was a member of the Church of God in Stringtown.  Funeral services will be at the Centennial Church with Rev. Mrs. AJ Merrill officiating. Burial will be in Rush Creek Cemetery near Tangier.  The date of the funeral has not been set, pending word from the sons in service. -kz
