NEWTOWN — Ryan Lewis Garrett, 25, 110 Adams St., Newtown, died unexpectedly, Sunday morning, Oct. 1, 2006 while working in Salem. He was born Aug. 16, 1981 in Lafayette, the son of Cliff and Judy (Salla) Garrett. He had remained a life resident of the Newtown area. He had attended Fountain Central High School and was a 2000 graduate of Attica High School. He had attended Indiana State University for two years, majoring in business management. He currently was employed by Trackside Recycling, and previously had been employed by Five Star Sales & Service. He enjoyed golf, basketball, chess and pool. Survivors, besides the parents, are: two children, Riley Michelle and Thad Michael Garrett and their mother, Christian Clodfelter, Newtown; three brothers, Shannon “Red" (Karen) Garrett, rural Veedersburg, Jayson E. (fiance Chris Borkowski) Garrett, Newtown and Kyle D. (Sarah) Garrett; a grandmother, Mary Agnes Sallas, Fowler; and four nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, from 5-8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday). Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Ed Morrow officiating Burial will follow in Newtown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may best be made to the Garrett Children Fund at Central National Bank in Newtown, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
