Covington – Christy Marie Garrett, age 5 of Crawfordsville died Friday morning, Oct 24 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette after being admitted Thursday evening. The child was born July 5, 1964 in Crawfordsville, the daughter of Ronald and Barbara Gordon Garrett. She had been a kindergarten pupil at the Hoover School in Crawfordsville. Surviving are her parents, one sister, Cathy and one brother, Chad; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Garrett of Newtown and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gordon of North Sale; great grandparents Mrs. Bessie Garret of Lafayette and Mr. and Mrs. Troy Murphy of Livingston, Tenn. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. The Rev. George Phelps officiated and burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Crawfordsville. – kbz
