A former resident of Kingman, WH “Tate” Garland, 61 died Wednesday at his home in Tulsa, OK following a long illness. The funeral and burial were in Tulsa. Garland went to OK from Danville, Ill about 25 years ago. Last fall he retired from management o fhis own used furniture business. Mr. Garland visited friends in Kingman about two months ago and was making plans to return here to make his home. The survivors are a sister, Mrs. Maude G. Blackwell and a stepson, Jack Miley, both of Tulsa. – kbz
