GARDNER, Sadie Beason Carlson

Mrs. Sadie J. Beason Gardner, 95, Indianapolis, died at 6:51 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was the sister of Golda Mae Beason of rural Attica.
Born March 17, 1888 in Warren County, she was the daughter of John and Sarah Jane Elwell Beason. In 1906, she married John Carlson, who died in 1931. In 1935, she married George L. Gardner in Sturgeon, Michigan, who died in 1968.
A resident of Indianapolis for 50 years, she had worked with Real Silk Company there and was a member of the Seventh and Eighth Christian Church of Indianapolis.
Other survivors include four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Woodrow Carlson and a daughter, Mildred Huffman.
Services were conducted Friday at Hickman Heights Christian Church near Rainesville with Rev. Dan P. Stewart officiating. Burial was in Rainesville Cemetery. Royster-Askin-Sandrock Funeral Home of Indianapolis was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
