Services were held Sunday at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington for Dale H. Gardner, 74, who died Thursday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Gardner, a former resident of Covington, had been a patient at Holycross Hospital there for four weeks. Born Sept. 10, 1892, he was the son of Oliver and Catherine Shaw Gardner. In 1914, he married Ethel Evans, who survives. for the past 30 years he had been employed as a sales engineer for the Holley Carburetor co. Mr. Gardner was a member of the Covington Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Kay Neel and Mrs. Dorothy M. Doherty, both of Fort Lauderdale; and a brother, Claude, of Marine City, Mich. He was preceded in death by a brother and a son killed in World War II. Rev. John Dekruyter officiated at the funeral services and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

DALE H. GARDNER Covington - Dale H. Gardner, a former resident of the Covington vicinity, died yesterday (July 13, 1967) in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The body is being returned to the Hegg Funeral Home. Arrangements are pending.
