Mrs. Catherine Gardner, age 75, former Covington resident died Sunday morning at the home of her son, Claude Gardner, in Dearborn, Mich.  She moved to Dearborn to live with the son following the death last July of her husband, Olive H. Garden, Coverington insurance and real estate man.  Mrs. Gardner was a native of Mellott and lived there with her husband before moving to Covington.  Besides the son, Claude, of Dearborn, she is survived by two other sons, Dale and Fred Gardner.  Funeral services were held in Covington Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. GW McGaughey of Veedersburg  Burial was made in Rose Hill Cemetery Hillsboro.   --- transcribed by kbz

Mrs. Catherine M. Gardner, who following the death of her husband, Oliver M. Gardner last July left Covington to make her home with her son, Claude Gardner at Dearborn, Mich died Jn 28 at the home of her son.  Mrs. Gardner was born Jan 24, 1870 at Frankfort, Ind and was married at Mellott on March 1, 1890 to Mr. Gardner. They were the parents of three sons: William Fred Gardner of Tipton, Ind; H. Dale Gardner of Detroit, Michigan and Clause E. Gardner of Dearborn, Mich .  Funeral services were held at the Crumley Chapel to Covington Wed afternoon Jan 31, Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg officiating. Burial was made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro – kbz
