Mrs. Laura Etta Gants, 85, died Saturday at her home in Veedersburg. She had been in ill health two years and in serious condition nine months.
Mrs. Gants was a member of the Lutheran Church at Myersville, Md.
She moved to Veedersburg 15 years ago, previously residing on a farm near Catlin, Illinois.
Born January 17, 1873, at Pendleton, Indiana she was the daughter of Henry and Cora White Michael. She was married Sept. 26, 1895 to William Gants who preceded her in death last June.
Surviving are a son, Herbert and a granddaughter, Mrs. Lela May Stahl of Veedersburg, and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg with the Rev. Roy Wilson officiating.
Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. - jz
