Newtown - Mr. and Mrs. Fred Coleman accompanied by Miss Leffie Williamson of Danville, Ill. attended funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Gambrill, 76, Wednesday in Highland. Mrs. Gambril was a cousin of Coleman and was a native of Fountain county. She died Sunday, July 4, at the St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago where she had been a patient for one month. Survivors include two sons, Gene and Marvin, both of Highland and a sister, Mrs. Clint Rhodes of Covington. She was the widow of Ross Gambrill who died in 1936.

Mrs. Jessie Gambril, age 76, of Highland, Ind., a former resident of Covington, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, July 4, in St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind. She had been ill one month. Mrs. Gambril was born Oct., 10, 1888, in Fulton Twp., Fountain county, the daughter of Lindsey and Clara Anetta Stanton Coleman. She was married Oct 14, 1914 to J. Ross Gambril, who preceded her in death July 29, 1936. She was a graduate of Covington High School and attended Indiana Central Normal and Indiana University. She had taught school at Kingman and other schools in fountain county. She was a credit analyst for the Marshall Field & Co. in Chicago for 10 years before retiring in 1954. She had visited in Covington on numerous occasions in recent years. Mrs. Gambril is survived by two sons, Eugene and Marvin, both of Highland and one sister, Mrs. clint (Blanche) Rhodes of Covington Rt. 1. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.this afternoon July 7, at the Fagan Funeral Home in Highland. Burial was in Ridgefarm Cemetery at Highland.

Kingman --Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Gambril were held in the Fagen Funeral Home in Highland July 7. Mrs. Gambril was born Oct 10, 1888, to Lindsey and Clara Stanton Coleman. She taught school here and married Ross Gambril Oct. 14, 1914. He died July 29, 1936. She is survived by two sons, Eugene and Marvin of Highland and a sister, Mrs. Blanch Rhodes of covington, who with two cousins Mrs. edward Martin of Covington and Mrs. Esten Goodin, attended the funeral.
