GALLOWAY, Robert W. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington – Robert W. Galloway, 93 of Rt 1, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday Dec 19 in Covington Manor Health Care Center. He had been a patient there one year. Mr. Galloway had farmed most of his life. Born Dec 17, 1900 in Shawnee Township, Fountain County he grew up in Shawnee Twp and graduated from Covington HS in 1920 and completed the PU agriculture short course in 1924. He had lived in the Salem community for 60 years. He married Nina D. Pratt on June 9, 1928. She died March 19, 1968. He married LaVerna Young Meade Sept 7, 1969. She survives.  Mr. Galloway was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He had served as church treas 30 years and gone on several church mission work trips. He was a member of Fountain masonic Lodge 60, Troy Chapter 145 of OES, Knights of Pythias Tidal Lodge 36, Indiana Farm Management Assoc and Farm Burea. He was treas of Fountain Farm Bure 24 years. Also surviving are son, R. Edward Galloway of Pittsburg, Kan and stepdau, Virginia Logue of O’Falon, Mo. Services are Wednesday in Covington.
