ROMNEY — Philip Lee Galloway,
62, Romney, died at 2:46 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000 in the emergency room of
Home Hospital, Lafayette. He was born Sept. 11, 1937 in Lafayette. He married
Lois I. Simpson March 17, 1957 in Newtown, who survives. He was a lifetime
resident of the area. He graduated in 1955 from Richland Township High School
in Newtown. He was a farmer in the Newtown area, and he and his wife formerly
owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Lafayette and Galloway's Standard
Station in Romney. He had been a school bus driver for Southwestern School. He
enjoyed traveling, fishing and history. Funeral services were at 1 p.m.
Saturday in Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette, with the Rev. John Like
officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Romney. Memorials to charity of
donor's choice. – jlr
