Mrs. Celia Rhodes Galloway, 77, of 732 S. 26th St., died at 11 p.m. Sunday in Home Hospital after an illness of a week. She was a patient there six days. Born at Covington, she moved to Lafayette 43 years ago. Her marriage in 1907 was to Urban W. (Doc) Galloway, who died in 1962. Her husband was an interior decorator for Loeb's for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Surviving are four sons, Leslie, Mont, Billy and Ronald, all of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Wallace Tudor of Oak Park, Ill., and Mrs. Elmer (Bud) Bender of West Lafayette, and a sister, Mrs. Phil Waller of Champaign, Ill. --typed by Walt W

GALLOWAY, Mrs. Celia -- Friends may call at Hippensteel Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. Earl Heimburger officiating; interment in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Surviving are seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
