GAINES, Alonzo, Jr. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Alonzo GAINES Jr. son of Alonzo and Mary Gaines was born in Boone County KY May 27, 1861 and departed this life Oct 15 at his home near Covington of complications and infirmities due to advanced age. He was married to Addie UTZ June 1884. He united with the Christian Church when a young man and was devoted to his church. In his declining years he was a great sufferer and his solace was the comforting words and prayers of his minister. The friendship in these long years between the pastor and the deceased was still warm and true at the time of his death. He is survived by the devoted wife and a sister, Mrs. Doren CLORE of Waveland.
