FRYE, Louis Jessee

Louis Jessee (“The Jew”) Frye, Rt. 2, Williamsport, died 8:10 a.m. CST Friday, Jan. 10 at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill.

  He was born at Armstrong, Ill., May 3, 1909, son of Clinton J. and Cora Belle Albert Frye. He had been a resident of Rt. 2, Williamsport for 24 years. He was married Jan. 19, 1929 in Williamsport to Gracie Mabry, who survives. He was employed for 24 years at the Hyster Co. in Danville, Ill., retiring three years ago. He was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church and the Hyster Retiree Club.

  Surviving with his wife are three sons, James W., Madison Heights, Mich.; Earl E. and Glenn E., both of Rt. 2, Williamsport; five daughters, Mrs. Ruby F. Gassaway, Springfield, Ill.; Mrs. Nancy S. Wynkoop, Gretna, Neb.; Mrs. Roberta J. Pearson, West Lafayette; Mrs. Linda K. Owens and Mrs. Donna L. riley, both of Rt. 2, Williamsport; one brother Jerry Frye, St. Joseph, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Maude Ellett, Armstrong, Ill. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One son, one daughter, eight brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

  Funeral services were held at the West Lebanon Christian Church 2 p.m. January 13th. Rev. Henry Koch officiated. Burial was in the West Lebanon Cemetery. – thanks muches to S
