Mrs. Marilou Flanigon of Hillsboro Tuesday Feb 27 (1945) was notified by the War Department that her husband, Thomas Flanigon, technician, 5th class in the Medical Corps of the US Army died Feb 13 in a hospital in France by wounds received Feb 10 in action in Luxembourg with Patton’s Third Army.  He was a son of James Flanigon of Peoria, Ill land Mrs. Eva Lien ? Madison Wis and was born April 29, 1916.  He married Marilou Slaza of Hillsboro on Feb 29, 1940.  Besides the widow and parents. Two brothers and two sisters survive. He entered the service in December 1943 going overseas in August 1944. Before entering the service he was a biologist for the Wisconsin State Conservation Department.
