FIELDS, Virgie Death

Virgie Fields of Covington, age 84, died Thursday night, March 4, in Covington Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Troy Township, Fountain County, January 14, 1898, the daughter of Durward and Carrie Miller Death. September 4, 1917, she married Clyde Everett Fields, who died April 26, 1952. Mrs. Fields was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was a charter member of Fountain County Farm Bureau.

  Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Young of Olympia, Washington; two sons, John of rural Covington and Earl of Covington; a sister, Ruth Brewer of Covington Manor; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Wayne Hoover officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
