Waynetown - James M. Fay, Sr. 70 of Waynetown died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis. He was a self-employed cabinet maker and an Army Infantry veteran of WWII, serving with Merrill's Marauders. He was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 445; member of Veterans of Foreign Wars at Crawfordsville and the Waynetown Baptist Church.  He was a graduate of Waynetown High School. Mr. Fay was born July 28, 1920 near Attica to Elston and Bessie Funk Fay.  He married Millie E. Clark on May 15, 1943. She survives.  Also surviving are two sons, James M II of Waynetown and Thomas L of Grand Marais, Minn; two sisters, Bonnie Simmons of Waynetown and Betty Gravett of Crawfordsville and three grandchildren.  A brother, Charles, a sister, Barbara Gross and an infant brother are deceased.  Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday in Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with graveside service by Legion Post 445.  Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. - kbz
