FAY, Bessie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Bessie Fay of Waynetown, age 85, died Friday night, June 4, in Houston Health Care Center at Crawfordsville. She was born in Fountain County, April 16, 1897, the daughter of Marion and Elizabeth Hyson Funk. December 2, 1919, she married Elston Fay who died May 12, 1964. Mrs. Fay was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church, Delta Alpha Sunday School Class, Order of Eastern Star and was a charter member and past president of Waynetown American Legion Auxiliary.

  Surviving are twin daughters, Bonnie Simmons of Mellott and Betty Gravett of Crawfordsville; a son, James M. of Logansport; a sister, Amy Pogue of Attica; a daughter-in-law, Jane Fay of Waynetown; 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. James Hatfield officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery west of Odell. – thanks to S
