Waynetown Jan 9 – W.E. Faunce, a  veteran of the Civil War died at his home here Monday afternoon.  He was 76 years of age. He leaves a widow and six children: Mrs. Alfred Parker of Mellott; Mrs. Carl Zuck, Urbana, Ill; George Faunce, Red Key, Ind; Mrs. Edward Switzer, Mrs. Claude Darnall and Mrs. Olive Baker, wife of the late Robert H. Baker, living here. Mr. Faunce has been a long time resident of Waynetown and was an extensive manufacturer of wagons, buggies and farming implements from his return from the way until 1883 when he sold out. Mr. Faunce was a member of the Baptist Church here; also a member of the F&AM Lodge. The funeral services will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. JP Henson. Interment Masonic cemetery. - kbz
