EWART, Jessie Gray - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

NEWTOWN -- Mrs. Jessie Ewart, 86, a charter member of the Newtown Study Club and life resident of the Newtown area, died Sunday morning in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, were she had been a patient since last Friday. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Newtown and a graduate of Newtown High School. Born Aug. 3, 1885, she was a daughter of Horace and Rose Emma McClure Gray. She was married to Ira K. Ewart May 14, 1906. He died in 1948. She is survived by nephew and three nieces. She was preceded in death by a son, three sisters and a brother. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Newtown Presbyterian Church with Rev. Peter Heemstra officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery.
