EVANS, Pearl Ray - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

DANVILLE, Ill. - Mrs. Pearl Eva Evans, 90, died early Thursday in LakeView Hospital here. She had been a patient for two days and had been in failing health for three months. She was born Jan. 27, 1880, in Fountain County to Frank and Elizabeth Smith Ray. She married John Evans on July 3, 1931, in Frankfort. Mrs. Evans was a practical nurse for several years. She was a member of Baptist Church in Danville. Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Mildred Davidson, Clarks Hill, four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Murrin, preceded her in death. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by Rev. Dean Ross in Dickerson Funeral Home at Stockwell, Ind. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown, Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. - jlr
