The Rev. CW Smith of Danville, Ill pastor of the New Liberty Church conducted the funeral service for Dewey Eubank, 56, held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2:30 Sunday.  Organ music was by Mrs. Crumley and Mrs. Clara Hesler was accompanist for William Young who sang Abide With Me and Jesus Savior Pilot Me.  The pall bearers who also served as flower bearers were: Ben Townsend; Alfred Hesler; Leslie Bell; Charles Stockdale; Raymond Summer and Howard Colson. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.  Dewey Eubank died at 8:30 a.m. Friday April 6 at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where he was entered on the previous Saturday night for emergency operation. He was born in Waynesburg, Ky March 11, 1900 the son of James Marshall and Elzora Young Eubank.  In 1920 he was married to Miss Mary DeVoss and the greater part of their married life was spent in the vicinity of Hillsboro.  Aside from being a farmer he was employed at the Hillsboro Grain Co elevator. He was a member of the Christian Church at New Richmond and attended the New Liberty Church of near Hillsboro. Surviving are the widow, four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Gustus of Hillsboro; Mrs. Martha Baird of Judson; Mrs. Wreatha Byers of Attica and Miss Virginia Eubank at home; two brothers, Curtis of Waynetown and Mitchell of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Autie Harvey of Attica and Mrs. Maudie Bowman of near Pine Village and five grandchildren. – kbz

HILLSBORO -- Dewey Eubank, 56, former farmer and also operator at the Hillsboro Grain Company's elevator, died at Culver Hospital at 8:30 a.m. Friday. He had been a patient at the hospital since Saturday, when he had an emergency operation. Mr. Eubank was born March 11, 1900, in Waynesboro, Ky., the son of James Marshall Eubank and Elzora Young Eubank. He was married to Mary DeVoss in 1920. Survivors include the wife; four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Gustus of near Hillsboro; Mrs. Martha Baird of Judson; Mrs. Wreatha Byers of Attica and Miss Virginia Eubank at home; two brothers, Curtis Eubank of Waynetown and Mitchell Eubank of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Autie Harvey of Attica and Mrs. Maudie Borman of near Pine Village and five grandchildren.
