Covington – Fred V. Etter, 55, Covington business man, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday following an illness of over 3 years. Funeral services were conducted Friday at the home with Dr. Morris Morgan officiating. American Legion services were held and burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown. Mr. Etter was engaged in the garage business with Jack Moore and operated a service station here. He was born July 31, 1890, in Montgomery County, the son of Joseph and Amanda Highbarger Etter. He was married June 10, 1935, to Evelyn Brown, who survives. He also leaves 3 sisters, Mrs. Ura Ireland, Peru; Ms. Glenn Melvin, Alamo and Mrs. Orpha Blackford, Wingate; three brothers, Clell and Albert Etter, Ft. Wayne and William of Montana.
