EPHLIN, Edgar - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Edgar E. Ephlin of Kingman d. Thursday morning (Dec 1) of complications following an illness at the Johnson Nursing Home in Shannondale. He was born on Sept 9, 1891 at Harveysburg and his parents were: Willard & Janie Mann Ephlin. Hallie Belle Keller became his wife on Nov 29, 1911. Before his illness he was with the Harrison Steele co. at Attica and after that served as town marshall in Kingman for 10 years and after that a janitor at Kingman School. He is survived by his wife, his father now of Sullivan, 3 daughters, Irene Carter of New Castle, Va. Penick of Marion and Doris Maxwell of Crawfordsville; a son, Earl E. Ephlin of Meriam KS and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Maurice John Ephlin. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home Saturday with Rev Bennett Fulp officiating. Graveside rites were at Kingman Frateral Cemetery where burial was made.
