Tangier -- Crawford Faust Ephlin, age 64, a prominent farmer of the Tangier community, father of Jack Ephlin of Hillsboro, died at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been stricken with a heart attack three weeks ago and was hospitalized. He returned to his home and became a patient again Sunday evening. Born June 21, 1898, in the Howard community in Parke County he was the son of Carles S. and Ora Rennick Ephlin. He was married Jan. 12, 1922, to Ruby Lewis, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jean Grimes of Rockville; a son, Jack of Hillsboro; a sister, Mrs. Fauniel Russell of Montezuma; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. (cdt) Thursday at the Brown Funeral Home in Montezuma. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
