Kenneth C. English of Covington, age 71, died Friday afternoon, January 22, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Parke County, January 20, 1911, the son of Samuel English and Martha Cleta Swaim Carson. February 25, 1934, he married Evelyn M. Hougland, who died August 7, 1978.
English was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau. He was a retired farmer and had worked for the Fountain County Highway garage.
Surviving are a daughter, Martha Potter of RR 1, Covington; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Wayne Hoover officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. – thanks so much to “S”
